Confirmation of the schedule and meeting point at the Nautical Center. We will go in a caravan along the south coast of the island, towards the starting point Caleta de (Hanga Nui). Behind the majestic and imposing AHU TONGARIKI (15 MOAI)

Activity Day 01
Start time:** Depending on weather conditions, usually in the morning. - **Starting point:** Hanga Nui. - **Itinerary:** 1. Meeting at the agreed point for technical briefing and equipment handover. 2. Beginning of the journey towards the majestic cliffs of Poike. 3. Advance towards **Motu Maratiri**, with stops to explore the volcanic landscape and hear about its history as King Kainga's refuge.

4. Opportunity for snorkeling in a safe area if conditions allow. 5. Return to the starting point with breaks to appreciate the fauna and geology of the area.

This route does not include guided snorkeling, as the journey requires considerable physical effort. However, during the trip, we can take a brief dip in a safe and special place, where the guide can provide a diving mask to appreciate the marine life and seabed.

Motu Maratiri was used as a refuge by King Kainga and his people after an important battle in the war of Ko Tu’u Aro and Ko Tu’a Hotu Iti. This islet is a witness to stories of resistance and survival.
